“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Acts 1:8 (NASB)
Belle Aire Baptist Church is actively engaged in global missions.
We are committed to a focused 4-FOLD OUTREACH STRATEGY:
1. JERUSALEM is Murfreesboro, the element gathering & the campus of MTSU
2. JUDEA is the Appalachian region of East Tennessee
3. SAMARIA is two Northeastern locations:
& Upper West Side of Manhattan > gallerychurch.com
• New England Area - The Terry Family Church Plant
God has called our Associate Pastor, Scott Terry, to plant a gospel-
driven church in New England. God has called Belle Aire to send &
support the Terrys in this new Kingdom work.
• Namur, Belgium: IN 2010, Belle Aire begins a new international partnership with John and Elizabeth Kea, IMB missionaries to Namur, Belgium. The Keas are former residents of Murfreesboro, members of Third Baptist Church, and friends of several Belle Aire members. They have three children, Noah, Eliana, and Meira. > read more
• The Jericho Project - East Asia
God has called us to proclaim to all peoples that salvation from sin is found in Jesus Christ. From the end of our driveway to the ends of the earth, Belle Aire members visit hundreds of homes in our neighborhoods and participate in life-changing mission trips each year.
East Tennessee | Judea
The Appalachian area in East Tennessee is the
regional missions emphasis (Judea) of
Belle Aire's 4-prong Acts 1:8 Strategy.
Do you have a heart for missions and are looking for the perfect serving opportunity?
The next mission trip for East TN (Appalachia) will be July 25-31, 2010. An informational meeting has been scheduled for March 21, 2010 at 4:30pm in room 201 at the church. Anyone interested in this trip should make plans to attend this meeting or contact Randy Moore @ 867-7391.

New England & New York | Samaria
The Samaria in Belle Aire's 4 prong Acts 1:8 Strategy is 2 locations:
1. New England Area - The Terry Family (NETS: The Belle Aire Project)
PRAY & OBEY: Join me in praying earnestly not only for Scott, but for our
church, that we would pray and obey the Lord who has promised to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:19). Today is a day of great rejoicing in our church as we gladly give to bless the Terrys and to glorify our Lord. As we pray and prepare for that day, let us remember, “nothing is impossible with God” (Luke 1:37).

2. New York City, NY, Chelsea Neighborhood & Upper West Side
The Gallery Church is a new church plant in the Chelsea Neighborhood. Aaron Coe, Belle Aire's former college minister, is the pastor of the Gallery Church which meets in the Chelsea Neighborhood of New York. Aaron and a team of others launched The Gallery Church in New York City in September 2006. His dream is to see people passionately embrace their life’s calling and live that out through the local church, in the context of the city. Aaron's first book, entitled “Returning Glory: Turning Ideas into Action”, was released in 2007.
In 2004, Aaron founded The Leadership Journey, a leadership experience in New York City designed to empower college students and recent graduates to become revolutionary leaders for the church (www.theleadershipjourney.org). The Leadership Journey has mentored many people who have gone on to be catalysts for the Kingdom of God. He holds a degree in Recording Industry Management from Middle Tennessee State University and is completing a Masters degree from Southern Seminary's New York City extension center.
To The Ends of The Earth | "Jericho" East Asia and Namur, Belgium
Prayer Requests
- Safety for those engaged in bold delivery of the gospel message in this “closed” country.
- Continued access to students and other seekers who are willing to engage mission teams.
- For the favorable view of Americans to continue despite political challenges.
- For the Holy Spirit to empower local believers in reaching their own neighborhoods.
- For their eyes to be opened to the reality of the “Most High God.”
- For the emptiness of western materialism to be evident in this rapidly developing country.
- For unity in the church, as registered and underground congregations coexist.
- To see individuals at Belle Aire gripped with desire to serve God in this place.
IN 2010, Belle Aire begins a new international partnership with John and Elizabeth Kea, IMB workers in Namur, Belgium. The Keas are former residents of Murfreesboro, members of Third Baptist Church, and friends of several Belle Aire members. They have three children, Noah, Eliana, and Meira.
ABOUT NAMUR: Namur is located approximately 30 miles south of Brussels and is predominantly French-speaking. With both NATO and the European Union headquartered in Brussels, the Keas are serving in what is considered by many to be the capital of Europe. Belgium is a socialist country with a post-Christian culture in which a personal relationship with Jesus Christ has become irrelevant. The need for a bright gospel witness is needed now more than ever.
OUR MISSION: Mission teams from Belle Aire will work with the Keas in Bible distribution, prayer walking and outreach to university students.

Many people are eager to respond to the heartbreaking disaster in Haiti. There are serious infrastructure and coordination issues that are hampering the disaster relief response. Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief continues to be in daily communication with our partners: Baptist Global Response (Southern Baptist Entity with primary responsibility for International disaster response), the Florida Baptist Convention, North American Mission Board and our sister state conventions. BGR, Florida Baptists, IMB and North American Mission Board now have personnel on the ground in Haiti and are feeding information back to us on conference calls daily.A primary hindrance to Southern Baptists sending in teams is the transportation issues. The airport in Port-au-Prince is still closed to commercial flights. The 200 mile trip from Santo Domingo to Port-au- Prince that would normally take 7 hours to drive now takes 18 hours. All roads are heavily damaged and vehicular travel is very slow and extremely hazardous. Another issue is the safety and security of volunteers. There are no secure areas for teams to sleep. When teams are deployed, they will more than likely be sleeping in tents.
At this time Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief is not collecting any items to be shipped to Haiti. The docks at Port-au-Prince are expected to be closed for up to 90 days and non-governmental air cargo is very limited. Our Southern Baptist leadership has requested that money be given to be used to buy items needed in bulk. We are praying that shipping ports will re-open soon and more supplies can be sent.
BGR and NAMB are telling us that it could be 90 to 120 days before Disaster Relief teams are needed in Haiti. When called upon the teams that will go will be food distribution, medical, restoration, rebuild and chaplains. It is anticipated that this response to Haiti will last three years and perhaps longer. We as Southern Baptists want those people in Haiti to know we will be there for the long haul. Thank you for your continued patience as we seek the best way to respond to the needs of the people of Haiti.
For now, we hope you will continue to pray, give, and prepare to go. Follow this link to give online or by check. http://www.tnbaptist.org/page.asp?page=99 All funds will be used for victims assistance according to our Board-adopted policy on designated Disaster Relief contributions.
