Missions

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Acts 1:8 (NASB)

Belle Aire Baptist Church is actively engaged in global missions.

We are committed to a focused 4-FOLD OUTREACH STRATEGY:

1. JERUSALEM is Murfreesboro & the campus of MTSU

2. JUDEA
is the Appalachian region of East Tennessee

3. SAMARIA
is located in the Northeast:
    • New England Area - The Terry Family Church Plant
God has called our Associate Pastor, Scott Terry, to plant a gospel-
driven church in New England. God has called Belle Aire to send &
support the Terrys in this new Kingdom work.
              4. REMOTEST PART OF THE EARTH

              • Namur, Belgium: IN 2010, Belle Aire began a new international partnership with IMB workers to Namur, Belgium.

              • The Jericho Project
                East Asia

God has called us to proclaim to all peoples that salvation from sin is found in Jesus Christ. From the end of our driveway to the ends of the earth, Belle Aire members visit hundreds of homes in our neighborhoods and participate in life-changing mission trips each year.

              East Tennessee | Judea

The Appalachian area in East Tennessee is the
              regional missions emphasis (Judea) of
              Belle Aire's 4-prong Acts 1:8 Strategy.

Do you have a heart for missions
and are looking for the perfect serving opportunity?

On July 25, 2010 about 30 people set out to minister to the people of Elizbethton, TN. Working alongside with Hale Community Ministries, we conducted backyard Bible clubs with children, built a wheel chair access ramp, and installed a steeple for the Lynnwood/Lynridge Church in memory of Clyde Perry.

Anyone interested in this trip should contact Randy Moore @ 867-7391.

Portland, Maine - the Terry Family

              (NETS: The Portland Project)

We are blessed to give support to our dear brother, Scott Terry and his family (wife Julie, and his two sons, Sam and Jacob) to relocate to the northeastern United States for the purpose of eventually planting a Bible believing, evangelistic church.

              "Jericho" - East Asia

“Jericho” is our code name for a large city in East Asia that has been a focus of Belle Aire mission activities since 2005 in our quest to take the gospel to the “ends of the earth”.  In a country where less than 1% of the population claims Christ as savior, and the government restricts the worship of its citizens, Jericho has provided us with unique opportunities to see the Acts 1:8 strategy in action.  Teams as small as three or as large as a dozen have travelled to this metropolitan city of six million people, or its surrounding villages, to share the love of Christ.  Activities have included campus ministries, sports camp, English camp, orphanage services, village medical care, hospital outreach, home bible studies, prayer walking, and cultural exchange.  Through partnerships with local missionaries and native Christians, we are beginning to see a bountiful harvest of new believers and the planting of new house churches among those formerly lost to Buddhism, materialism, and various Eastern philosophies.

              Prayer Requests

              - Safety for those engaged in bold delivery of the gospel message in this “closed” country.
              - Continued access to students and other seekers who are willing to engage mission teams.
              - For the favorable view of Americans to continue despite political challenges.
              - For the Holy Spirit to empower local believers in reaching their own neighborhoods.
              - For their eyes to be opened to the reality of the “Most High God.”
              - For the emptiness of western materialism to be evident in this rapidly developing country.
              - For unity in the church, as registered and underground congregations coexist.
              - To see individuals at Belle Aire gripped with desire to serve God in this place.

              Namur, Belgium

Another "remotest part of the earth" prong of our Acts 1:8 strategy is Namur, Belgium.

IN 2010, Belle Aire began a new international partnership with IMB workers in Namur, Belgium.

ABOUT NAMUR: Namur is located approximately 30 miles south of Brussels and is predominantly French-speaking. With both NATO and the European Union headquartered in Brussels, it is considered by many to be the capital of Europe. Belgium is a socialist country with a post-Christian culture in which a personal relationship with Jesus Christ has become irrelevant. The need for a bright gospel witness is needed now more than ever.

OUR MISSION: Mission teams from Belle Aire will work in Bible distribution, prayer walking and outreach to university students.
