I-5 / 5th Grade Ministry

"Jesus replied, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind' This is the first and greatest commandment And the second is like it: 'Love your Neighbor as yourself'" - Matthew 22:37-39

Goal of the Ministry

The goal of INTENTIONAL 5 (I-5) is to equip, prepare and ignite the hearts of 5th Graders so they become intentional about loving God and loving others during the pivitol year between elementary and middle school.

What we do

In 1-5 we focus on getting them plugged into to each other and the church body.  We do this through events just for 5th graders, including a hayride, sleepover (boys and girls seperate), Christmas service project, Jumpstreet, and more!!  We also have guest speakers from the church body who come and speak to them which allows them to learn biblical truth from a variety of different people.  Plus, each 5th grader who attends regularly will have a Secret Prayer Partner from the church who commits to praying for them and writing encouraging letters to them once a month.

Ultimately, I-5 is a place where kids learn how to love the Lord and love each other!!

Sign up for I-5 Mission Slumber here

Mission Slumber is Jan. 25-26.  We will meet at different host homes, one for guys and one for girls.  Once there, each group will eat dinner and start to compete in some guys v. girls challenges.  It will be a whole night of fun, ending with a bedtime devotional, and they will get to spend the night at the host home afterwards.  Pick up will be the next morning after some DoCo donuts!  It will be a great time for all!
